Audi Driver International 2012

Audi Driver International is a favourite of mine to attend as I am a big Audi fan and also owner, so I cleaned up the S3 and headed down the M5 to Castle Combe Circuit in Chippenham for the day and got some shots using the 300mm 2.8 + 1.7x TC, giving me a very useable and pleasing 500mm f/4.8.

Here are some of my personal fav’s from the day

Woodpecker Rally 2012

Normally around my birthday is the awesome Woodpecker Rally based nr Ludlow in Shropshire, and this year it fell on the weekend after my birthday so off we went down the A5 stopping for a ritual breakfast at the Craven Arms.

We always head into Radnor Forest for the stages but sadly this year they were out of bounds for specators due to severe fireroad damage from the years terrible rainfall.

Haye Park would be our destination for this year and it was one we’d never been to before so didn’t know what to expect really with regards to shooting locations etc.

We found a decent-ish spot but it wasn’t the best and thus made shooting difficult that day.

The photos I did take can all be seen below.

It was a grand day out however with fine weather, a trip to the pub on the way home for a dustbuster followed by a lovely birthday meal in the evening and finished off with drinks in the village – perfect!

Mind those flying rocks!

Always a pleasure to see

More roosting

I do like seeing these new shape Scoobies

Don’t they just look made for it…

Last one, I then just enjoyed myself and put the camera away…

Wyedean Rally 2012 Photos

Well, what a superb start to the 2012 BTRDA Rally Series.

Icy cold, snow still covering the ground and a rock hard frost all made for a very very wintery Wyedean Rally 2012. Temperatures never reached much above zero celcius all day, but clear skies and sunshine meant for conditions you could certainly cope with once dressed correctly.

Results all over on the BTRDA Rally HQ website, so all that leaves me to do is share with you some photos.

The main gallery is here and will be updated as more images are processed. If you do not see your car featured, drop me a line I may have it but I don’t always upload every single image as there are too many. I will be adding more photos over the next few days so please be sure to check back!

For now a few of my favourite shots of the day.

Icy start to the day…

Tricky conditions were the order of the day

Some old classics out for a tootle

Got to love these…

Looking so good in the snow

BTRDA Wyedean Rally – 11th February 2012

Next weekend will see the start of the 2012 BTRDA Rally season, and I shall be attending the Wyedean Rally down in the Forest of Dean.

Photos will appear here as soon as possible once home and a visit to the pub has been done and dusted; common post rally practice!

Autosport International 2012

The start of the new year and the start of a new show season – and what better way than to begin with the Autosport International Show which was held at the N.E.C in Birminhgam.

There were plenty of awesome cars on display, showcasing some very handy engineering and raw power – a pleasure to be able to view really.

I am an avid Ford nut still even though I have an Audi so was very happy to see a large array of MKII’s, Cosworths and general Rally tackle!  To sum the day up fully in a report would take all night and I would rather share with you a visual report whilst I go and sup my lager.

So please follow the link to the gallery and view my images from the day, I hope you enjoy.

This was one of many MKII Escorts present at the Woodpecker Rally 2011, but this one stood out for me.  The number plate alone says it all!

Ford Fair 2011 – Silverstone

I paid a visit to an old favourite of mine at Silverstone in the form of Ford Fair, which is europe’s biggest and best Ford display by far.

Many attend this yearly show to spend the day with fellow enthusiasts and display their pride and joy for all to see.

This had grown massively to the last time I went in 2004, so it was nice to see the positive progress.
